During the first wave of renovation in the Historic Tremont area in late 1989, Rick and Tena Cicigoi purchased the former Ukrainian Labor Temple, built in 1927, which now serves as their studio/living space.
Everything from the original hardwood floors, to the stage curtain, to the lighting fixtures in the 17-ft.-high ballroom ceiling, has been painstakingly preserved and restored. The 10,000 sq. ft. building now houses a Main Studio which was the Dance Hall, a Painting Studio in the Loft and Stage areas, a Secondary Studio complete with a refinished bar and seating area, and Offices/Living Quarters, including a Full-size Commercial Kitchen and Dining Room/Meeting Area.
The result is a comfortable, spacious work area which allows for large shoots and projects, customized sets, and complete flexibility.
